The Volunteer Committee support an engaged, appreciated, and well-prepared volunteer network that ensures high-quality service for SAIL members.

Benefits of Serving:

  • Support volunteers who make meaningful contributions to older adults
  • Strengthen volunteer satisfaction and retention
  • Gain experience in onboarding, recognition, and community buildin
  • Help build a positive and supportive volunteer culture

Activities:

  • Develop strategies related to volunteer recruitment and retention
  • Facilitate orientations
  • Review volunteer handbook annually
  • Plan and facilitate appreciation events
  • Recommend new actions for volunteer retention to the Advisory Council

Your Contribution:

About 3–4 hours per month, including periodic involvement with onboarding and appreciation activities. Time may increase during volunteer recognition periods, but schedules remain flexible.
